I hope you are well and apologies for taking so long to come back to you - it has all been a little manic since the wedding.
Ian and I just wanted to send a huge thank you to you and the band for the ceilidh at our wedding at Rowton Castle recently.  Everyone had an absolutely amazing time and the ceilidh has been very talked about since. It was great to see everyone joining in and having such a great  time.  In all honesty, I wished we could have had the ceilidh all evening, given the amount of fun it was.   Thank you again and hopefully, we will see you all at another ceilidh in the near future.

Dear David and the Fabulous Odd Socks band,
Thank you all so much for playing for us and keeping us organised on the dancefloor on Friday night. You have once again made our Shrewsbury School Parents Association annual Burns Night Supper another memorable, fun evening. We have had lots of complimentary feedback, and many have said how much they enjoyed the Ceilidh. I feel it really is the highlight of the evening. Thank you.

Prince Rupert Hotel Burns Night Ceilidh 2025

Booking Enquiry Burns Night 2023

You may recall that your wonderful band played at our last Burns Night event which we held at the Lion Hotel – I can’t believe it was 2020!!
Well- this year we are holding it at The Prince Rupert Hotel on Friday 27th January and are very much hoping that you are free to attend and play for us again.

Thank you so much for a great evening at Welsh Frankton village hall. Even on the extremely hot evening that it was you got people up to dance and we all had a great time. Here is what a friend said to me "The band were great too.  They looked like they have been together for years and really knew how to work together and work the crowd.”  I agree completely, you were all such lovely people, the music was rousing and your choices of dances were excellent. Of course Ann was a wonderful caller and made it all easy! Several people in our party were complete beginners and they say that they would love to do it all again they had so much fun.
Thanks once again, would definitely recommend you. Hope to see you soon, please keep me informed of any public events you have.

" we booked Odd Socks for my Dads 80th birthday as we wanted an evening where all could join in with the dancing but also be able to chat without being drowned out by the volume of the music.  Odd Socks were everything we wished for. They were punctual and professional throughout the evening. Ann was a very patient 'caller' and explained the dance moves and talked us through them and the standard of music played by the band was wonderful. Very talented musicians. A thoroughly enjoyable night. If you want an evening of excellent music and dance to celebrate your event then Odd Socks are definateley the band for you. "

Just a short message to thank you very much for a superb night on Saturday.  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the Ceilidh dancing and  we all had some very sore feet the next day.  The evening seemed to go so very fast and everyone says that they would have loved to have carried on longer.  I am not sure where they had all their energy from.  Again thank you for helping us to make a very memorable evening.

Oswestry School Parents Association Burns Night 2015

I hope you got home OK last night. Thank you so much for playing so well at our Burns Night Ball last night! I think everyone had a brilliant night out! It was great to have so many people out on the dance floor. I especially liked the penultimate dance when you invited all the men to shout “Oi!”. They seemed to revel in it, like New Zealand rugby players doing a Haka! I saw some people picking up your card so I hope this brings you more gigs. Please pass my thanks on to the rest of your band.

Hi Dave and the Band! Just a quick thank you for a fabulous night on the 29th June. I had some really positive feedback from my guests, everyone had a great time, they are now 'barn dance converts!' I enjoyed every single minute, you guys provided excellent entertainment, fabulous music and outstanding patience as most of us had no idea what we were doing! I loved the way Rupert wandered around the room playing his fiddle inbetween the dancers, it was just fab! I couldn't have wished for a better 40th birthday party - my legs ached for 2 days but I wasn't prepared to miss a dance! Best wishes to you all and thanks once again.

Acton Scott Village Hall - 18th  Birthday Party

Just a little note to thank you all so much for the most brilliant evening on Saturday – everyone had a great time! As we said at the end of the ceilidh, it really helps when everyone gets into the swing and so much of that was down to clear, patient calling and fantastic, infectious music – just wonderful!   I’ve attached an action shot – it’s a bit blurred because they were all so involved, but I think it captures the essence of a cracking celebration.
